Inulin is a native prebiotic extracted from chicory root, performing physiological functions in the animal's body, as a prevention of diarrhea, reduction of plasma cholesterol, nutrient production and increased bioavailability of minerals, helps with feelings of satiety as it slows down digestion, helping to prevent blood sugar spikes.
In monogastrics, inulin is metabolized in the large intestine, but not in the stomach. Inulin is exclusively fermented by the acidophilic flora and as a product of this fermentation we have the microbial mass of free fatty acids that are absorbed by the animal.. Stimulation of the immune system is influenced by the development of beneficial bacteria and reduces the competitive exclusion of pathogenic bacteria.
Application: Suitable for all types of feed, especially Pet Food.
Action:
➢ Regulation of fecal mass volume and intestinal transit;
➢ Acidification of intestinal contents and development of free fatty acids; ➢ Greater absorption of minerals;
➢ Greater excretion of fecal nitrogen: reduction in ammonia concentration;
➢ Stimulate the animal’s health: ensuring better immunity.
