Minas Láctea, one of the biggest events for the milk and dairy products market in Latin America, returned to its face-to-face format in 2022, after the pandemic period, and it happened 12 a 14 July in Juiz de Fora – MG.
We were present at the fair and presented some of the main innovations in ingredients for the sector.

THE PROBLEM
UHT milk drink with high protein content and beauty action, containing collagen Verisol®, set of bioactive collagen peptides from Gelita, with clinically proven action, which helps maintain skin health, hair and nails.
For protein intake, we use the WPC 550 by Fonterra, a special concentrated whey protein, with resistance to UHT treatment, which allows the development of beverages high protein with low viscosity.
DAIRY COMPOUND
Focused on the senior audience, We developed this product using the DHA Origins® 170P, omega 3 obtained from microalgae by the self-replication method, then being a source 100% sustainable and without environmental impacts, with anti-inflammatory actions, for cognitive health, eye health and gastrointestinal system.
To maximize the benefits of this product, we use soluble fiber Promitor®, yes dad & Lyle, the only fiber in Brazil that has two claims approved by Anvisa: gut health and calcium absorption/retention.
We complement the formulation with collagen Fortibone®, bioactive peptides with bone health action, also from Gelita.
ICED COFFEE
Introducing a Cold Brew Spray Dried coffee-based cold brew with WPI dairy protein 95%.
The coffee Cold Brew Spray Dried is a differentiated cold-soluble powder extract. It is produced by cold extraction or pressure, which results in a product with low acidity and a unique aroma.
The protein source chosen was Fonterra's super dairy protein, a SureProtein™ Clear Whey Protein Isolate 8855, a protein isolated from whey with 95% of protein that was specially developed for ready-to-drink beverages, presenting appearance clear em pH <3,7 and high stability in temperature and acidic conditions.
VEGAN MOCACCINO
Drink 100% plant-based and sweetened with stevia. This contains isolated pea protein. Nutralys® S85 Plus N com 85% of protein. A plant-based alternative for those who choose to consume plant-based drinks without losing the sensory attributes of traditional dairy products. This protein has no negative impacts on texture (viscosity) and the taste (residual). It is easily dispersible, great solubility, high stability during shelf-life, GMO free and allergen-free.
Additionally, it has Creapure® from the manufacturer AlzChem, high purity creatine monohydrate, produced without any substance of animal origin. Excellent ingredient for supplementation for vegans. Clinical studies prove that daily consumption promotes an increase in lean mass and strength performance, like this, improvement in physical fitness, health, well-being and vitality.
O TCM Amtech vegan was also used in this prototype, it acts as a quick source of energy and as a powerful thermogenic. It has an ideal proportion between the two main medium-chain triglycerides, o C8 e o C10, being 80% of C8 and 20% of C10. C8 is absorbed very quickly and provides immediate energy, while C10 offers stable, long-lasting energy.
And to finish the composition of the mocaccino, we added our short-chain fructo-oligosaccharide fiber, a GOFOS™ from the manufacturer Galam. It is a prebiotic fiber and contributes to the enrichment of fiber intake, helping to reduce sugar, for owning 30% the sweetening power of common sugar. Additionally, significantly influences the sensorial formation of the product, bringing fullness and rounding the aromatization, mainly in red fruit and chocolate profiles.
